ZORYA

Based in Paris, France
The ZORYA Floor Lamp is a sculptural exploration of rhythm, texture, and light.
Its elongated base is composed of a sequence of hand-formed volumes, creating a strong vertical rhythm and an almost totemic presence. Above, an oversized textile shade is constructed through dense, irregular layers, forming a deeply tactile surface that shifts between softness and architectural structure.
When illuminated, light emerges from within the dark silhouette, revealing the depth of the layered shade and emphasizing the contrast between shadow and glow.
The name ZORYA comes from the Ukrainian word for star or dawn โ a reference to light appearing within darkness.
Sculptural Base โ Hand-Formed Biocomposite
The base is shaped entirely by hand from Pleto Biocomposite โ PletoStudioโs proprietary natural material composed of clay, hemp fibers, cellulose, wood shavings, mineral powders, and an eco-friendly binder.
Its stacked, irregular volumes retain subtle traces of the making process, giving each piece an individual sculptural character.
Layered Textile Shade
The oversized shade is built by hand from individually arranged textile layers. Their uneven edges create a dense, rhythmic relief, transforming the shade into a sculptural volume even when the lamp is switched off.
When illuminated, the layered construction frames a concentrated inner glow, bringing depth and movement to the dark surface.
Created as a functional artwork, ZORYA balances raw materiality with soft light โ a commanding yet atmospheric presence conceived for collectible and contemporary interiors.
