A collectible floor lamp where sculptural form, raw natural fibers, and the visible trace of the hand quietly converge.

LIMEN takes its name from the Latin word for “threshold” — a point of transition between two states. The piece explores this idea through the meeting of contrasting materials and expressions: solid and weightless, refined and raw, grounded and airy.

The elongated base is sculpted entirely by hand from Pleto Biocomposite — our proprietary eco-material composed of clay, hemp fibers, cellulose, wood shavings, mineral powders, and an eco-friendly adhesive. Its irregular vertical reliefs are outlined with fine dark traces, emphasizing the rhythm of the hand-formed surface and giving each piece its own unique graphic character.

Above, an oversized shade made from natural raffia introduces a lighter, more instinctive presence. Its loose, layered fibers soften the architectural silhouette of the base and gently filter the light, creating a warm and atmospheric glow.

Rather than seeking perfect symmetry, LIMEN celebrates the subtle irregularities of handmade form. Conceived as a functional sculpture, it exists at the threshold between object and artwork — bringing a quiet, tactile presence to contemporary, Wabi-Sabi, Japandi, brutalist, and gallery-style interiors.
