The Geometer bench is hand carved from a single piece of American Black Walnut, felled and milled in southeast Pennsylvania. Its undulating form evokes an inchworm camouflaged as a twig. Its octagonal profile accentuates the different aspects of the slabs grain, exposing areas of chatoyance and turbulent figuring.
