Tribus - Grasscloth

A rich and colourful variety of plant fibres, dense like sisal in plain and two-tone shades, fine and refined like abacá, and wide and flat with a slightly satiny, knotted finish like arrowroot, joyfully make up the textured bases of Tribus.

The ikat and appliqué embroideries capture the imagination and evoke the textile caravans of the East in a blend of elegance and bohemia. The raffia compositions lend freedom and frivolity to the aesthetic. The panoramic coverings, in which the colours delicately blend into the texture, add an authoritative Hispanic artistic influence with their abstract curves.
